The Greek expression Πάντα ῥεῖ (panta rhei) - "everything flows" has been attributed to the philosopher Heraclitus, but was probably coined after his time. It does, however, epitomize the essence of his philosophy: We live in a world of change. Our thoughts, our knowledge, our perceptions are in flux. Even boundaries between cultures, the sciences and humanities are fluid - which is why you will encounter different fragments of human creativity in this blog.

Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock performs Katy Perry's Roar
I had dismissed this song when I saw the corny "Katy in the Jungle" video, but seeing the sick kids, and the nurses, and even the uptight MDs rocking out to this song gives it a completely different dimension. I was crying my eyes out at the end.
